01 / ABOUTTHE ENGINEER BEHIND THE WORK

From construction sites to intelligent systems.

I’m Ramin Osti — a civil engineer with a practical foundation in infrastructure delivery and a research focus on the next generation of infrastructure intelligence.

My experience spans airport pavement and apron works, bridge construction, structural design, construction supervision, and infrastructure reconstruction. Through the Erasmus Mundus NORISK programme, I deepened my focus on infrastructure risk, reliability, and resilience across Portugal and Spain.

Today, I’m especially interested in how computer vision, multispectral and thermal imaging, drone data, and digital twins can support more informed bridge inspection and infrastructure management.

“Engineering fundamentals first. Intelligent tools to extend what we can see, understand, and improve.”
